Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (Model/Promising Programs)

This Center at the University of Colorado sponsors an informative Web site that provides links to programs demonstrated to be effective in preventing and intervening in youth violence. Some of the interventions have mental health applications. Criteria are used to differentiate Model Programs from Promising Programs and to identify programs designated as evidence-based by other organizations. Searches for interventions may be conducted by risk factor, youth age, target audience, and program type. There are "blueprints" describing the interventions and links to information about training and technical assistance.
